INSERVICE TRAINING OF TEACHERS AND ANGANWADI WORKERS
Scope And Features
The ECE (preschool) curriculum we have designed
is activity-based, focussing on the holistic development of children
in the 3-5 age group. To assist 'balwadis' and 'anganwadis' (preschool
centres) in introducing or strengthening the activity-based approach,
we offer inservice training of rural and urban 'balwadi' teachers
and 'anganwadi' workers.
CLR training incorporates:
Understanding characteristics
of the 3-5 age group
Understanding the ECE curriculum in the
light of children's developmental needs and child rights
Methods
and materials for activity-based learning
Management aspects
of activity-based learning
Discussion on teachers' gender
sensitivity, attitudes and professional motivation

Our
inservice teacher training programmes are conducted in Marathi
and Hindi.
