This CLR series of audio-visual slide sets and
discussion guides in Marathi and English covers a wide range
of syllabi-related topics that include health, biology, ecology,
agriculture, industry, history, etc. It promotes awareness in
children about their physical, social and political environment,
and helps teachers to stimulate discussion and analysis in the
classroom instead of rote-learning of subject matter.
The title
of this series is “You And Your Environment/Tumhi
Ani and Tumcha Parisar”. There are several titles in this
series. New titles are added periodically.

and human beings, and discusses how homes are adapted to
the geographical and cultural environment.

Clean The people and services involved in garbage collection and
disposal, and how each of us can help to keep our homes and

The Everlasting
Cloud Explains the water cycle and our dependence on rain.
Animals and Us Covers the role that animals play in the lives of human beings
and how they maintain the ecological balance.
Aqua in Trouble Explains the causes and chemistry of water pollution and
various means of purification.
Audio Visual Lending Library Scheme
The Audio-Visual
Lending Library Scheme is an ongoing project of the CLR which
disseminates its audio-visual series for pre-school, and its
Environmental Studies series entitled “You And
Your Environment/Tumhi Ani and Tumcha Parisar”. Slide
sets and slide-projectors are loaned to member schools on a
daily sign-up basis. We conduct workshops for teachers in the
effective use of the audio-visual medium in the classroom.
Our
A.V. library operates only in Pune city. Besides targetting Marathi
medium schools, it is the only CLR project which also reaches
